“Rollerskating is a fun activity for children, one that they can enjoy during this long holiday,” said Agnes, the studio’s organizer. “It is also a way of encouraging children to keep fit.”

For the skate studio in Nairobi, it is offering one hour sessions; “we conduct one hour sessions everyday from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. So the children pick the best time for them to attend classes,” she said.

“We also provide the skating equipment so parents do not have to worry about more expense but other than skating, there will be other activities such as cycling, badminton, football, and art in our childrens’ play area.”

Parents are encouraged to provide snack and water for their children and they should go dressed in sports gear. Charges for a one hour session is Sh500 or Sh300 per week
