Sports view hotel, which boasts of having the best family oriented entrainment, will next month host Daddy Owen and Allan Aaron during their monthly music extravaganza targeted at kids, to give them a break from the usual fun activities and a chance to meet with their favorite gospel artists.
The hotel offers an all-inclusive entertainment that captures all ages but with a particular emphasis on the kids; a kids’ paradise is provided with lots of facilities that keep them fully entertained; and activities such as child-friendly music, acrobats, face painting magic shows and a clown on any given Sunday.
The kids paradise has a play area in a sand pit; with slides and swings of different shapes and an obstacle house with tunnels and slides where kids can hide and slide over to the sand pit as they play hide and seek.
The play area, is safe enough, assures Mish Bakari, the marketing manager, as the sand is sieved every week to ensure there are no particles that can injure the kids; with sand being refilled at least every four weeks; and kids are not allowed to go in their shoes.
The kids paradise also has a small pitch where the kids can play football and volleyball or do team building activities such as tug of war; as well as a bouncy castle, and a merry go round for older kids just outside the sand pit.
There are child minders in all play areas to oversee the kids; as well as life safers on the swimming pool; which has a segmented side safe for kids as young as 3yrs to swim.
To give the kids ‘a break’ the hotel holds a music extravaganza every month inviting mostly gospel artists. This Months' extravaganza was held on 4th July where several artists including Jimmy Gait,Loise Kim,Ben Githae and Mogaka among others entertained the 1800 guesta,700 of who were kids.
The kids love the show, says Mish, and on seeing them dance and sing along with the musicians ‘you realize what the kids have been missing,’ she said.
Next month’s music extravaganza will be on 8th August; and will feature the famous Daddy Owen and Allan Aaron; who, says Mish ‘are really turning the wheel for the kids’. Charges for the show will be Sh200 for the kids and Sh300 for adults; payable on the day of the event.
Sports view hotel also has a kids club known as Sportie Birthday Club, for kids aged up to 14 yrs. Membership to the club is free for all kids who visit the place, requiring one to just register; and comes with benefits which include a free cake on the kid’s birthday party , free space and entertainment if the parent decides to hold a party at the hotel.
The hotel is located at Kasarani off Thika Road about a kilometer from the Roysambu Round about; on a 15 acres piece of land surrounded with huge trees and is popular for holding trainings, meetings and conferences on weekdays, weddings and parties on Saturdays and the family entertainment on Sundays.
The hotel also hosts corporate functions having been frequently used by Cooperative Bank, Unicef, Action Aid and Care Kenya among others.
As away of giving back to the society, the hotel gives an end-of-year treat to the kids from children’s homes; and also invites kids from Tree side school , a special school for the mentally handicapped, every two months for a special treat.
The hotel operates 24 hrs, with the Sunday being the busiest for families and entertainment. Charges are Sh100 for ‘kids’ paradise’ and Sh100 for swimming
