JD Tennis Academy has teamed up with Muziki Tele, to ensure that kids enjoy this summer holiday to the fullest by offering tennis lessons, music and dance lessons to kids of all ages through out the summer holiday. Â Mike Kibala, the manager of JD Tennis says they wanted to offer a wide range of activities over the summer holiday, to keep the kids busy and entertained since there is more free time. The holiday program, which started on 5th July will run till September 4th; and will see kids not only play tennis, but also learn how to play instruments including Piano, Guitar Violin Drums ,Trumpet, and Trombone ;as well as various Ball room and contemporary dances. The tennis Camp will take place at JD Tennis Academy, after which the kids will be picked up for the music and dance lessons at Muziki Tele, which is just two minutes from JD Tennis Academy, on Ole Odume Road, off Ngong Road. Depending on the turnout however, Mike says they might as well have Muziki Tele team come over to JD Tennis since they too have a studio. Muziki Tele has also partnered with Taswira Art Club, a group of professional artists that will also engage those kids inclined into fine arts in a lot of functional and creative art including painting, drawing, sculpturing, illustrations and Paper Mache among others. Now one year and five months old; Muziki Tele is a music institution that offers training in music including in voice and musical instruments as well as in dances including salsa, hiphop, Salsa, Cha-cha, Waltz, Bachata, ballet and Jive. Wambui Kairu, the music training director, says they have made contracts with several schools where they teach dance lessons. The school also offers a platform for the students to showcase their talents by organizing concerts and planning various musical events. The school will also be offering dance lessons in the latest and trendiest dance moves including ball room dance and afro-Cuban dances to parents who wish to accompany their kids; all in one package for only Sh5000. The tennis holiday camp will run every day of the week from 11-12.30 for beginners and tiny tots; and from 2-3.30 for advanced players; while Muziki Tele will have a flexible schedule, opening every day of the week as well, from 9am to 7pm. Charges for the tennis camp will be Sh2000 per week, pre-paid; or Sh500 daily, while the music and dance classes charges will differ depending on what activities a child chooses; with a five per cent discount on all during the holiday. Thanks,
Lizzie.
